Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how businesses can cancel a subscription or sponsored placement on Chekiraj, and when money is refunded. Chekiraj is free for clients. Cancelling a booking with a business is covered by that business's cancellation rules, shown on its profile and in the booking.

Free trial

Every plan starts with a free trial of 90 days. You do not need to enter payment details to start it, and nothing is charged during the trial. If you do not start a paid subscription by the end of the trial, your profile stops being shown in search and can no longer receive online bookings. Your data stay in your account, so you can continue by starting a subscription.

Subscription payments

• Subscriptions are paid monthly in advance, in euros, through PayPal.
• A subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it.
• The price depends on the number of employees or resources in your business. If that number changes your plan, the new price applies from the next billing period.
• Prices for the Enterprise plan are agreed individually.

Cancelling a subscription

• You can cancel your subscription at any time, without notice and without a cancellation fee.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Until then, your profile stays published and you can keep receiving bookings.
• After that, your profile is no longer shown in search and cannot receive online bookings. Bookings already confirmed stay in your calendar, and you should honour them or cancel them in good time through the Platform.

No refunds for started periods

Payments are not refunded, in full or in part, for a billing period that has started, including when you cancel during the period, use the Platform less, reduce the number of employees or resources, or when your account is suspended or deleted for breaking the Terms of Use or the Community and Review Guidelines.

Business subscriptions are intended for businesses and professionals. Consumer withdrawal rights for distance contracts therefore do not apply to them.

Sponsored placement

• Sponsored placement is paid in advance for the period you choose (7, 30 or 90 days), and starts immediately or when your current placement of the same kind ends.
• It cannot be cancelled for a refund once it has started, and no part of the price is refunded, including when your profile is hidden, suspended or deleted because of a breach of the rules.

When we do refund

• If you were charged by mistake, for example twice for the same period, or charged after a cancellation that had already taken effect, we refund the incorrect amount in full.
• If we stop providing the Platform, or remove a paid feature, before the end of a period you have paid for, we refund the unused part of that period.
• Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under mandatory law.

Refunds are made to the same PayPal account used for the payment, usually within 14 days of our confirming the refund.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we will notify you by email and PayPal may try again. If the payment is not settled, your profile stops being shown in search until the subscription is paid.

Price changes

We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a new subscription price applies to you. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.
